Humanities Employability ILU 2HUILU Employability ILU for Study Abroad Students in the School of Humanities
This School-wide ILU (Independent Learning Unit) replaces the ‘Work-Related Learning’ compulsory modules delivered in Semester 2. It will ensure that the Outgoing Study Abroad students in the School of Humanities, who have had to move their stay abroad to semester 2 due to Covid-19, can achieve the requirements and programme learning outcomes of their degrees in 2020-2021.
The Work-Related Learning modules that are specific to the YSJ programmes are intended to prepare students for future career choices through reflection on placement activities and engagement with the YSJ career resources. This ILU has been designed in partnership with the YSJ Careers and Study Abroad services, and with academic representatives of the programmes concerned in the School of Humanities, to allow Study Abroad students to utilise their Study Abroad experience in place of the required 75-hour work placement.
