Welcome to the Management Project module.
Please read the information below, and take some time to look through this Moodle site in preparing to study for this module.
The aim of the Management Project is to give students the opportunity to undertake an investigation into an authentic challenging management project within their organisation. This allows students to demonstrate an understanding of the application of business principles in a real-world situation and results in management decisions. Students will develop their research skills alongside techniques of reporting back on findings.
This Module is also designed to support your End Point Assessment (EPA) preparation.
Whilst we will aim to provide plenty of time during each session to discuss any key questions, we also welcome questions outside of that delivery time. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions that you may have:

his module provides an overview of the key concepts and strategies of project management. It will establish key differences between projects, programmes, and portfolios from business as usual. It also introduces the various methodologies and frameworks that can be adopted to best suit the nature of the proposed project including the processes involved in the definition and planning of a project, such as framing the scope and determining objectives. It will further consider the inter-relationships between the key processes and how they each combine to provide effective management of the project. It will examine the benefits and challenges of the different project structures such as matrix, functional and pure. Project management roles and responsibilities will be explored and how these map to the project structures.
