This module is an essential and distinguished part of student preparation for successfully industry employment of or own business management. As future industry specialists or business owners, it is crucial that students experience industry dynamics in an environment where they can empirically apply theoretical knowledge. Understanding the significance of leadership building and industry connectedness will be crucial for their success in the workplace. The module will provide opportunities for students to demonstrate their planning, research and time management skills and develop appropriate key skills needed for effective participation in a professional setting, including personal organisation, communication and target setting. In addition, students will critically assess the professional organisational environment summarizing best practices and improvement opportunities and develop a range of relevant self-presentation skills that will support student’s professional aspirations. The module provides opportunities for students to reflect on the theoretical knowledge and understanding and apply it in practice through completing a subject specific industry project.
