1MU303-2018-19-YEAR-A Perspectives on Music, 2018-19 YEAR (Group A)
This module consists of a series of projects which explore a variety of perspectives on music. These projects, delivered by a range of staff, will question students’ knowledge and understanding of music, prompting a critical exploration of music, art and cultural theories. Students will gain experience in analysing, reviewing, debating, assessing and evaluating music (across a range of genres) encountered through live performance, recordings and scores. Through these projects, students will also gain and hone writing and research skills, encouraging further independent exploration of their topics of interest.
As with other modules in this course, there are a range of resources available on Moodle, including announcements, summaries of lectures, presentation slides, and links to further information.

You will be enabled to explore the concepts of occupational participation and performance and their relationship with health and well-being from a range of perspectives. These will include occupational science and the human sciences. You will learn to appreciate the importance of theory, evidence and values-based practice and professional reasoning to inform the planning and delivery of occupation centred practice.
