This module is designed to equip students with theory and practice of industry standard digital applications in their design specialisms. Students will develop the analytical and critical skills associated with computer generated software necessary to match their specific needs in the creative industries. Students will also develop an awareness of cross-platforming digital applications, enabling them to utilise these more effectively when working collaboratively or through interdisciplinary contexts.This will enable students to confidently articulate their work and to experiment with a range of digital tools to achieve real and virtual outputs.

This module aims to:

• Build students’ confidence to utilise a series of specialist and generic digital application design programmes
• Enable students to make informed decisions concerning the use of digital applications in their project work
• Enable students to practice and apply their digital design skills in range of design contexts
